About Thrust Maritime

Thrust Maritime is a leading Australian engineering company specialising in the design, manufacture, integration, installation and operation of high-integrity marine Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS). We deliver innovative lifting and handling solutions that enable safe, efficient and reliable offshore operations worldwide.

We also provide engineering services on a consulting basis, including naval architecture, subsea, mechanical, and instrument and electrical services.

We have a unique rental suite of launch and recovery equipment, which includes a number A-Frames, marine cranes and a very special Active Heave Compensated (AHC) Winch.  The AHC Winch is an enabler for subsea operations as it allows subsea operations to be completed from local and much smaller vessels, which results in significant cost savings.

Our purpose-built 4,750m² facility, located less than 40 minutes from Melbourne CBD, features exceptional vertical clearance and 50-tonne gantry crane capacity, enabling the fabrication, assembly and testing of large-scale offshore systems.

We provide services globally, and our projects have included work in Australia, USA, Brazil, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and New Zealand.

Thrust Maritime works to a well developed management system which is certified to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 with DNV-GL.

Leadership 

Thrust Maritime was founded by Ben Healy in 2011. Ben is a Naval Architect, Veteran and the Managing Director of Thrust.

He previously worked at TEK-Ocean Energy Services Pty Ltd as a Maritime Manager. Ben Healy attended Australian Maritime College and the Royal Military College Duntroon.
