Thrust Maritime has designed, manufactured, and commissioned an ABS-certified Submarine Emergency Ventilation and Decompression System (SEVDS) LARS.

This system provides a globally significant capability for the rescue of submariners from a disabled submarine. Its advanced launch and recovery system deploys a specialised umbilical that delivers emergency ventilation and enables decompression of the crew. These capabilities dramatically improve the survivability of trapped submariners in critical situations.

At Thrust Maritime, we thrive on solving complex engineering challenges. By combining innovative design, high-quality manufacturing, and close collaboration with our supply chain, we continue to lead on a global stage and deliver specialised, fit-for-purpose safety systems that make a real difference.

We are proud to again collaborate with our valued client, Phoenix International Holdings, Inc., a global leader in submarine rescue, to deliver this life-saving capability for a major European Navy.
